We know that at recruitment fairs and open days, giveaways are an important way to make a lasting impression - whether it’s a tote bag, postcards, or the traditional printed prospectus.

With Prospectus Plus, your prospective students already receive a personalised experience online. Print On Demand extends that same personal touch into the physical world. Instead of a generic item, students can walk away with a card printed just for them - featuring their name and a unique QR code linking to their personalised prospectus.

How Print On Demand Works

1. A student answers a few short Wayfinder questions with the help of an advisor.
2. Their personalised digital prospectus is generated.
3. At the same time, a branded, ID-style card is printed on the spot, including: The student’s name, a QR code and unique URL linking to their personalised prospectus

The result? A memorable, branded giveaway that keeps your institution front-of-mind when the student is back at home.

Eligibility

Print On Demand is available exclusively to institutions on a Pro-level licence, or to those on a custom plan that includes this feature. If you’re on a different plan and would like to explore access to Printer Plus, please speak with your account manager to discuss upgrade options.

Print On Demand Packages and What's Included

Printer Plus is available in two packages, designed to suit different event sizes and needs. Both packages include all the essential hardware and setup you’ll need, but they differ in the number of cards provided and the level of customisation available.

• The Standard Package is perfect for smaller events or trying Printer Plus for the first time.
• The Upgraded Package is ideal for larger campaigns, offering more cards and the flexibility of full-colour professional printing.

What’s Included in the Standard Package

When you order the standard Print On Demand package, you’ll receive everything you need to get started, including:

• A card printer
• 100 cards (pre-printed with your design on side one)
• A printer ribbon
• A mini-computer to power the technology
• A hard case for safe and easy transport
• A cellular data stick preloaded with 12GB of data (so you can run events without Wi-Fi)

With the standard package, you can choose from our range of pre-coloured cards:

Side One: Pre-printed with your logo or campaign design in a single colour (using the ribbon colour you’ve chosen).

Side Two: Printed live at the event, featuring the student’s name, QR code, and unique URL - using the same single ribbon colour as side one.

We’ll print side one of the cards before shipping them to you, then send these along with the ribbon and printer so you can continue using them at your next event.

Upgraded Package (minimum order of 1000 cards)

The upgraded package includes everything in the Standard Package, but with a few important differences:

• The number of cards increases from 100 to 1000 (or more).
• Cards are professionally pre-printed in full-colour before they reach you, ensuring a polished finish.
• Side One: Your chosen full-colour branded design.
• Side Two: Pre-printed with a solid block colour (of your choosing), providing a strong background for live event printing.

At your event, Print On Demand will enable you to  print the student’s details, QR code, and URL on top of this pre-printed block colour in your selected ribbon colour.

Ribbon Colour Choices

No matter which package you choose, you’ll need to select a printer ribbon for event printing. The ribbon determines the colour of the live-printed details (student name, QR code, and URL).

Available ribbon colours:

• Black
• White
• Blue
• Green
• Red
• Gold (additional cost may apply)
• Silver (additional cost may apply)

It’s important to select a ribbon that contrasts well with your chosen card colour or pre-printed block colour so that printed details remain clear and legible.

Things to Decide Before Your First Event

To make onboarding smooth, please confirm:

• Your choice of card package (standard or upgraded).
• The card colour(s) you’d like (for standard package).
• Your branding design for side one of the card.
• Your choice of ribbon colour for event printing.

Once we have these details, we can set everything up so your first event runs seamlessly.
