Add a personal welcome to your digital prospectus

AI welcome messages help make your Prospectus Plus experience feel more personal by generating a welcome heading and short introduction for each user.

The wording can reflect information available about the user and follow your institution’s tone of voice.

How do I enable it?

Get in touch with the Prospectus Plus team at https://support.prospectus.plus 

We’ll help configure the feature and tailor the welcome instructions to your institution.

You don’t need to write technical prompts yourself. We can propose a starting point and work with you to refine the wording.

What do we need from you?

To get started, we’ll need:

  • An OpenAI API key for your institution’s OpenAI API account.
  • Your preferred tone of voice, such as friendly, reassuring or professional.
  • Any wording requirements, including preferred terminology or phrases to avoid.
  • A contact who can review example welcome messages.

If you’re unsure how to obtain an API key, your IT or digital team may be able to help. OpenAI’s getting started guide explains how to create one.

Are there additional costs?

This feature uses OpenAI, a third-party service. OpenAI API usage incurs charges through your institution’s OpenAI account.

Can we change the style of the messages?

Yes. We can adjust the instructions to reflect your institution’s tone and preferences.

Because the text is generated by AI, the wording can vary. We’ll work with you to review examples and refine the instructions.
