Exporting User Data
Many customer want to be able to export the user data captured by Prospectus Plus. This is fantastic when coupled with a CRM. And you absolutely can! BUT, there is a caveat:
You must make sure that you have been transparent with your users in how you will be using their data before you make use of their personal information for marketing or other purposes. If you have any questions about this, please let us know.
Once you have the legal clearance to collect the email addresses of your users, here's how you can proceed:
- Hover over the 'Users' menu item in the admin bar at the top of the screen.
- You'll see a dropdown sub-menu is revealed. Click on 'Site User Manager' here.
- Navigate to the 'Export' tab.
- Check the fields you'd like included in your export.
- Click the 'download' button.

You can export any fields collected by your registration form, even custom ones! If you don't see yours here, contact us for help with this.
Exported File Format
You'll receive a csv download of your user base. Included will be columns such as username, email, first_name and last_name.
Importantly, you'll notice a column with the header date_created. The reason we include this is so that you can clearly determine which users may have registered before or after any privacy policy was implemented. In this way, you can avoid making use of data collected from users who haven't agreed to those terms.
